The atmosphere of King Richard III Primary School is one that reflects the happiness of its pupils and staff and their respect for each other, it is the heart of everything we do .

The education offered at our school is designed to meet the challenges of today’s society. Our aim is to produce happy, creative pupils who try to achieve their full potential whilst enriching the lives of others . A broad, balanced and challenging curriculum is offered, and small classes, (averaging 20 pupils) are maintained.The pupils are encouraged to discover and develop many talents and skills through musical, sporting and extra-curricular activities. Emphasis is placed on firm discipline, good behaviour and respect for others.

The Primary School follows the English National Curriculum through Foundation, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two, providing opportunities for all children to learn and achieve. Additional Subjects such as Music, Drama, German and ICT are taught by specialist teachers. Standardised Achievement Tests (SATs) are regularly administered .
