SAN ONOFRE

San Onofre State Beach is located approximately half way between Los Angeles and San Diego, 10 miles south of the city of San Clemente. An area at the southern end of the Surfing Beach, has been specifically designated for paddle surfing. The park is open seven days a week from 6:00am to 10:00pm. Parking is a convenient 50 feet from the water's edge. The park amenities include restrooms, changing rooms, showers, picnic tables and fire rings. The California State Park Service currently charges a $15 fee for day use. A twelve month unlimited use day-pass can be purchased for $125. San Onofre, with its rich surfing history, is known for its rider friendly waves and is the break of choice for those desiring a mellow wave riding experience.
