            The HBU Summer Harp Festival has attracted students from around the world. Students have the opportunity to study the harp with Kimberly Snaufer DeRosa and Therese Honey. Together, these instructors bring over 75 years of harp playing experience and expertise to the program. 
            The Festival accepts 6th through 12th grade students who are comfortable with reading bass and treble clef and have had a minimum of 6 months of harp instruction. In a non-competitive atmosphere, the students are provided with intensive and comprehensive studies on the many aspects of the harp and its music, its history and ensemble playing. 

CLASSES:
Harp Ensembles, Private Lessons, “Famous Harpists", Theory, Rhythm, Harp Maintenance,"Playing Out", "Harp Around the World" (a lecture and interactive series including Celtic, Historical and South American styles).
EXTRA SIGN-UPS with additional fees include a second private lesson, In the Spotlight and Be aA Composer.

July 8th 3:30 - 4:45 Check-in, Harp Drop and orientation
July 8th 5:00 dorm check-in for those staying on campus
July 9- 13th 9:00 - 4:00
July 14th 9:00 - noon. 11:00 am CONCERT open to the public
July 14th dorm check-out by 10 am
Festival Fee: $375

EXTRAS SIGN-UPS NOT INCLUDED IN THE FESTIVAL FEE:
Second Private Lesson:  $40
All students will receive one lesson as part of their tuition.
In the Spotlight $45
4:15 - 5:15 on Monday and Tuesday. Student must bring a prepared solo (preferably memorized). If the piece is multi-movements, prepare one movement. This class focuses on preparing for auditions (such as Region), competitions (UIL) and performances. Participants will perform on a student recital on Tuesday during this class period.
Be a Composer: $45
4:15 - 5:15 on Wednesday and Thursday with Richard DeRosa. Students will learn a specific technique in composition and create their own piece.
On Campus HOUSING : $325
This fee includes all meals. Please provide your own linens. 
LUNCH: $40
Lunches provided by the school cafeteria. Otherwise bring your own sack lunch.
