PERSPECTIVE PHOTOGRAPHY 
 
 
“Take a Picture of Everything You See...”  Several years ago, two good friends of mine invited me to go on a trip to Africa with them. I confess, my first thought was “well, that’s a very nice invitation, but CERTAINLY I will not be going to Africa.” Several days later, I mentioned the invitation to my father while we were talking on the phone. His reaction stunned me. I expected discouragement, forbidding, even. I received instead unfettered enthusiasm for me to go see a part of the world that the vast majority of people never get to see. “Do me one favor while you’re there,” my dad said as he handed me a new 2 gig card for my Canon Digital Rebel, “take a picture of everything you see.” I did exactly as he asked. And these photos capture the different perspectives, experiences and incredible memories of the privilege I have had to travel and see the beauty of the world into which we’ve been placed.
