The Army Wakeboarding Association welcomes all standards with the emphasis on the beginner. Founded in 2003 by Kerry Gospel the association has gone from strength to strength and is now recognised as an official Army sport. Each year a number of casual training camps are organised to introduce and prepare riders for the Army Championships in September. The top riders from this event are selected to represent the Army team in the Inter-Services championships the following week. Training camps are usually 2 days duration and allow complete beginners to learn the sport whilst at the same time offering free coaching to the intermediate and more advanced riders to take them to the next levels.
