Photography to me is more than just good technical settings. A strong photo should tell a story and evoke emotions. It should be about relationships like the joy of mothers with their children. The delicate toes cradled in a proud mom’s hands. The hopefulness of a shelter dog seen in its eyes. The anticipation of blowing out your birthday candles. The bond of the family unit. It is about the essence of the individual(s). I look for those moments to immortalize them. I think of myself more of a photojournalist than a photographer and if I can make a simple moment special, then I have achieved my goal.
