The Law Offices of Kermitt L. Waters has worked tirelessly to bring about changes to eminent domain law in the Nevada Constitution, the Nevada Revised Statutes, and Nevada case law to further protect Nevada landowners’ rights in eminent domain actions.  

 

    Changes to the Nevada Constitution - In 2006, Mr. Waters used his own time and money to draft and assure passage in the preceding 2006 general election the Peoples Initiative to Stop the Taking of Our Land (PISTOL).  This Initiative was on the 2006 general election ballot as Question 2.  

        If passed again in the 2008 general election, this Initiative will amend the Nevada Constitution to provide sweeping changes to eminent domain law in Nevada for the benefit of private landowners.
