Flat tire in Haiti
Flat tire in Haiti

Everything needed to go smoothly today for us to be able to make it home in time to watch the Superbowl. Those plans were nearly foiled when I noticed the right nosewheel tire pressure read zero during the walkaround in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. For a while it was looking like we’d have to wait for the next arrival which was 5 hours later than our departure time. Fortunately there is a great mechanic in PAP who figured out a way to liberate a spare tire that had been stuck in customs since November of last year. In all we were just 20 minutes late arriving into Miami.
Take a look at the picture above. Notice how difficult it is to notice a flat tire? The right one is the flat one. Even if you kicked it, you really couldn’t tell. I keep thinking I’ll run out of things to take pictures of, but this trip has really kept us busy. Always an adventure!
