I am a professor of German language, culture, and literature at Appalachian State University in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina, as well as an independent documentary filmmaker.
K~Doc Films grew out of the need to combine my Caribbean roots in Jamaica with my profession as a Germanist. Therefore, its primary focus and intention is esoteric, as it attempts to document German Diaspora around the world - starting with my home island, Jamaica.
Germans in Jamaica is a five part documentary of which three have been completed. Once the entire documentary is edited, it will serve as part of an online course on German Diaspora.
