This is a collection of waterfall prints that I’ve recently assembled during a prolonged stay in South Carolina this past spring. I’m a waterfall junkie, and from our cabin back east it is possible to visit over 160 of them within a 2 hour drive. Shooting waterfalls, however, takes time, considerable foot-work and a lot of patience as anyone who travels with me to these sites will tell you. For that reason, I was only able to get to about 25 of them. The right light is critical and I found that I really prefer shooting during those spectacular eastern thunderstorms. Barring the cooperation of Mother Nature, however, I find myself waiting patiently for the sweet light of evening. Several of these waterfalls and surrounding rocks were shot during the filming of the movie “Last of the Mohicans,” which is a favorite of mine… they were High Falls, Hooker Falls and Upper and Lower Bridal Veil Falls. Enjoy!
