Gail Brown, Ken’s wife, is an accomplished watercolor artist. Above she’s engraving a wine bottle in one of Ken’s Seminars where she sometimes helps teach and critique the work of students.

“My strength is in artwork. Although I’ve helped Ken teach his lettering styles both in Calligraphy and Engraving Classes, I’ve never had the interest to develop it myself. I’ve engraved my letters on fragrance and wine bottles for personal gifts, but I prefer the illustrating and illuminating part of what we do.
With the drill, I can transform my ink drawings and watercolor paintings into etched art on glass and wood. Above, our MESSENGER print was used as a pattern. I merely placed a piece of 8 x 10 plate glass over the print and carefully traced the image with the drill. It is so easy! Anyone can trace and produce beautiful finished pieces by the simple act of tracing the pattern.
With sheets of letter-size mylar from CHARTPAK, placed in the paper tray of your copier or printer, you can copy or print any image onto the mylar. Peel off the protective paper back, and the mylar has an adhesive on the reverse side. Affix the sheet with the image on your surface to be Engraved....and TRACE IT!
