Bill and Sally Worcester are a husband and wife glassblowing team.  They have worked together in glass professionally since their first studio in 1972.

Bill and Sally began their glass career, in a glass co-op at “The Foundry” in Honolulu.  As there were no teachers available to them at this time,  they are pretty much a self-taught duo. In 1969, Bill started working with Hugh Jenkins, opening a shop and classes supported by the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts.  Sally was a student in their first class.

In 1972,  they opened a studio/gallery in Cannon Beach, Oregon.  Their seven year old son, Michael started working with glass at this time, and has been blowing glass ever since.

The call to go back to Hawaii was very strong.  They all returned to Maui and opened “Hot Island Glass” in Makawao in 1992.

In 1994, Michael wanted to go out on his own. He moved to Cambria Ca. and was a founding partner in the “Sunfire Gallery” and studio.

Bill and Sally sold Hot Island Glass in 2000.  They built and opened a new Studio on their property in Kula, where they are blowing glass today.

In October 2005, Michael and his bride Kelly, moved back to Maui as valued members of “Worcester Glass Works” where they are happily working together!

The  Worcester Family invites you to visit their Studio and Gallery when you come to Maui. You can visit them by Appointment or by Chance.
