The Strike

With nothing new on, everything is seeming funnier.

Two and a Half Men is becoming my new favorite show. I even laughed at That 70s Show last night. I find myself sitting and thinking Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader isn’t that bad.

‘It’s not that bad’ has become my mantra. I get really excited about semi-funny lines and repeat them to Steve. See, wasn’t that funny, it was, it’s not that bad.

I even watched American Idol.

I miss 30 Rock and The Office and Desperate Housewives. Not Grey’s Anatomy, that was just getting bad. I watched all the My Name is Earl that there was online. That is probably the best show I wasn’t watching. Now, what? Now, what?

In the last week I’ve watched so many movies:
Rescue Dawn
Good Night and Good Luck
Spinning Boris
Minority Report
Juno
Stranger than Fiction
When Harry Met Sally
Dreamgirls
Armageddon

But it’s just not the same.

It’s like wanting dessert and being made to eat a whole cake instead. I just feel sick. I don’t think I can watch anymore movies. I’m going to have to start renting TV series, but I don’t even know if there’s that many that I want to watch.

At least I still have the rest of Entourage and Rome, Second Season, to watch.
