Busy and Big Kahuna

OK, so it may seem like I haven’t been writing, but actually I’ve been writing a lot. Just, uh, not here. Last week, was possibly the busiest week of my life since one of those finals weeks when I had to make schedules and to do lists of my day and all kinds of crazy stuff.

To add to everything, this Sunday is my half Ironman.

Here, is where you can insert you unsolicited advice about what I absolutely have to do, must do, better not forget for the race. In all the races I’ve done, people are usually like ‘Oh, that’s cool,’ but this time -- sooooo much opinion. I’m not really a big believer in the freaking out about every little thing or taking every single random person’s advice as though it’s THE WORD.

I kind of intend to swim, then bike, then run and in between I plan to eat as much as I can so I don’t pass out, but not so much I throw up. If that all goes right, then the race should work out fine.

If it doesn’t, then it won’t.

I’m not really sure which will happen. I have a wide, wide range of expectations --- from very good to very bad --- and I honestly don’t know which it’s going to be. Not in a negative way, just in a I’ve never raced for that long way. So when everyone keeps squealing “Oh my god, you’re going to love it, you’re going to do awesome!” I really want to ask how they know? Because I don’t.
