Tomorrow is my last big training day before Big Kahuna. If nothing breaks, I will actually sign up for the race after that.
Steve is in Yosemite. I had big plans for while he was gone. Making cookies, going to Borders, uh, that was pretty much it.
But I didn’t do either. And apparently, they got to Yosemite, decided camping sounded like too much work, so they would just climb Half Dome at night -- because obviously, that’s easier. Now, I don’t know if they plan on sleeping in the car or driving straight back, but I probably won’t have time for my big plans.
Life is hard.
Before they left, the plastic strips on the outside of the car -- the black ones that stop shopping carts from denting your door -- were peeling off. The only problem was that when you opened the door it then got caught on the other door and ripped off further. Apparently, this was going to cost $95 to fix. Or it could just be duct taped on, right?
Steve said no way, absolutely we were not doing that.
When I got home the plastic strips were laying in the living room. Someone clearly decided my way was best.
I did get @kellydunleavy working when I was sick and bored on Wednesday. [Side note, when you stay home from work and have a boyfriend who works from home, there’s a lot of ‘what are you doing,’ ‘what are you doing now,’ ‘how about now,’ ‘wanna go do something.’ And I will have you know that it wasn’t all me doing the asking.] So: twitter.com/kellydunleavy, I think I almost understand this twitter thing and I got it to kinda work with my phone -- though so far I’ve only gotten one update on my phone and it was from sexton, so either my twitter is (bizzarely) censoring for me or I don’t really know how it works yet. Also I may have gone a little nuts on the following every person who’s name I recognized, so I promise I’m not stalking you. At least not a lot.
