I haven’t done anything this week and it has made me very, very tired. Tuesday I swam for 20 minutes. Wednesday I biked to work. Today, I shuffled through the slowest 6 miles I’ve ever run, but I figured after this weekend it’s time to get ready to go faster.
In case you hadn’t heard the word: the most awesome housewarming party will be held this Saturday evening on our deck. I know it may be hard to believe, but we actually got our hot tub to work. I gave it a test run last night and there’s little switches that make the jets do different things, but I haven’t quite figured out what yet.
Also, look, look:
That’s what a house without piles of stuff looks like. Kinda.
Tomorrow, Fairfax is having a public budget meeting from 9-noon. Monday, this controversial development that people keep calling me about goes to the Planning Commission. And Monday afternoon College of Marin’s budget committee decides on recommendations about which programs to cut.
This is my way of saying: I’ll be working 10-12 hours on Monday. So I worked 3.5 today. Besides, there’s nowhere I’d rather be on a Saturday morning than listening to people complain about spending too much money on police. My favorite is when they complain about paying for police because there’s no crime anyway. Chicken, meet egg.
