Importing Photos From Your Camera:
Step One: Turn your camera on. Set the camera to “Play” mode. This is the setting that allows you to view your photos on your camera.
Step Two: Plug your camera into your computer with your USB cable.
Step Three: iPhoto will automatically open. When it does, there will be a large “import” button in the lower right corner.
There will also be a small checked box that tells you it will clear all images off your camera after importing. This feature erases photos from your camera, freeing up space on your memory card.
Step Four: You will see a box asking you if you want to erase images after importing. Creating Albums: Organizing Your Photos
Step One: After importing, press the “new album” icon. This is the plus sign in the lower left corner of your window.
Step Two: Go to the Top Left corner of your window. Underneath your “Library” you will see a roll of film titled “Last Roll”. The Last roll will show you the last photos you imported.
Step Three: Make sure you can see your new Album on the left. Drag and drop your photos into your new album. You can do this one at a time, or go to Edit> Select All and drag all photos at once.
 
Editing Your Photos: Cleaning Up and Resizing
Step One: Select photo to edit (double click on photo)
Step Two: The photo will appear in edit view.
Rotate: This feature will turn your photo
Crop: You can resize and clean your photo
Enhance: Brighten and enhance colors
Red-Eye: Click once and click on red eyes
Retouch: Blending tool to soften lines and edges

Next Arrows: Take you to your next photo.
 
Creating Slideshows:
Step One: Select photo album to create slideshow from.
Step Two: Click “New Slideshow” icon at the bottom of your window. This icon looks like three slides with a plus sign.
Effect: Change colors to Black and White or Sepia Tones
Transition: Select effect between slides
Ken Burns Effect: Creates movement in still Photos by panning in and out of photo. Named after a famous photographer’s technique.

Music: This tool allows you to add music to your slideshow. Select songs from your itunes library, Garage Band, or samples.
Above: in settings you can choose if you want you song to repeat or end in time with your slideshow.
Step Three: Press Play
Your slideshow will save your settings and you can show and share it with friends and family anytime.
Inside Tip: This box is automatically checked. Go into setting and un-check if you want Burns effect to turn off     4J Ed. TILT Project  Home TILT Photos
