My goal is to make them forget...

As the photographer, I know the shots that I’m getting during a photo session and I try to give mom & dad a sneak peak from the back of the camera now and then to put their mind at ease that it’s all working. I schedule about an hour and a half for newborn sessions because, well, they have a lot to do. You know... eating, pooping, peeing, crying - and all of this while naked! But after all of that, they finally fall asleep. I keep snapping away through all of it and I know that when I show mom & dad the proofs from their session, they will forget all about being peed on by their brand new, screaming little bundle of joy. It’s all worth it...

Today was a treat because I was able to photograph some friends and their first baby. It was great to see them transformed from newlyweds into Mommy & Daddy, they are naturals! We marveled at the childbirth experience, we marveled at what an adventure parenthood is, and we marveled at the distance a naked little boy can pee! Thanks guys for all your patience while we waited for the little man to fall asleep. I cant wait to show you the rest of the images from the session!
