Today was a day of learning for all of us.  We decided today to venture away from the crowd and go as a youth group to see the ocean.  For many of us, including myself, this was the first time we have ever seen the ocean, and it was beautiful.  At the beach we tried to boogie board, we are still not sure if we were doing it right but it was fun, we body surfed, and we feed the birds, well Keck feed the birds and I hide behind John when they would fly by.
Even though we didn’t go the workshops we still were able to learn a few things today, and here are some that stand out.
        1. If you keep your mouth closed while in the ocean you won’t swallow the salt water.
        2. If you are afraid of birds don’t eat a peanut butter sandwich on the beach.
        3. Always wear sunscreen while at the beach, the sun is a lot stronger at the beach.  We are all as red as tomatoes.
        4. Trying to pick out what to eat with 15 people isn’t as easy as you would hope.
        5. When driving on the highway in N.C. be patient, there will more than likely be traffic.
        6. When in need of a conversation starter all you need is a hand towel or cloth napkin and you can make a dead chicken.
So even though we didn’t go to the workshops today doesn’t mean that we are unable to learn.  Everyday we learn new things whether it be about the Lord, our friends, our family, ourself, helpful tips, and so much more.  If your heart and mind is open you will learn so many new lessons. Just never forget the lessons you learn for once have learned them God will use you then to become a teacher.  I am going to stop there because teach will be in a few days, so before I go I will leave you with the bible verse from today.
Let us discern for ourselves what is right; let us learn together what is good.  Job 34:4

Before I go I forgot something else that we all learned today...
Every once in a while pastors will come from the ocean and wash up onto the shore. (See picture of Pastor Keck above)
