Our family is the proud owner of two Great Danes... one of which is Brutus- a very large 160 lb male- who is the biggest chicken of a dog you’ll ever come across. Here is some proof.... We keep the dog food bowls in the basement (they’re not the neatest diners.) The other day, Brutus was barking incessantly at the bottom of the basement stairs. When I went to check on him, I found him cautiously lurking around the corner and staring at his filled dog bowl in the next room. Curious as to what the heck he was doing- I looked around the corner and noticed our kitty sitting atop a ladder that had been there for a few days. Apparently a 6 foot kitty was a little too intimidating for Brutus. Life with a Great Dane... it’s not what you’d expect!
