Harlingen Debris Picked Up
Wednesday, August 13, 2008
In the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Dolly in South Texas, TFR secured numerous contracts including debris removal for the City of Harlingen, Texas. Following the failure of another contractor to begin prosecution of the work within the stipulated timeframe, TFR amassed company-owned resources to pick up the slack. Within the same day of receiving our Notice to Proceed, TFR had fully mobilized the job providing load and haul services to the City.
“Hurricane Dolly left large amounts of debris throughout the Valley. It has been weeks since the storm, but neighborhoods in one hard hit city still have piles of brush outside homes. The Harlingen City Commission met this morning to discuss the debris situation. This is the situation all over Harlingen. There are piles of trash and tree limbs on streets all over town.”
In addition to the City of Harlingen, TFR has begun work immediately for City of Brownsville, City of Port Isabel and City of Laguna Vista providing load and haul, reduction and management services securing these contracts through the RFP process. TFR is committed to providing a rapid, efficient service at a fair market competitive price for our clients.
After another contractor failed to fulfill their obligation to the City, TFR rapidly provided an alternative. With a slew of Company-owned equipment, TFRs management team was quickly on the ground assessing damages and providing equipment.
