Harris County Flood Control District Contracts with TFR
Friday, November 7, 2008
Through much negotiating, Harris County Flood Control District has contracted with TFR Enterprises, Inc. to remove hazardous storm-generated debris from channels, ditches, streams and bayous of Harris County Flood Control property. This includes the removal of hazardous limbs, downed trees and the subsequent debris to staging points before loaded and hauled to TDSR sites throughout the County. However, this project presents some unique challenges from limited access points to the environmental concerns involved with removing the storm-generated debris. Nevertheless given TFR’s performance history and experienced personnel, TFR is uniquely positioned to complete the project on time and to the supreme satisfaction of Harris County officials.
TFR-owned self-loading trucks perform load and haul operations on Galveston Island following the devastating effects of Hurricane Ike. Working along busy streets, TFR exercised USACE safety regulations to ensure the safety of our personnel and performance of our project.
