SHHH!…….there’s learning going on in the Library.
Every day our children practice their listening skills as Mrs. Loftus reads to them from the 100’s of books in our library. Primary students have heard about dancing swans, imaginary alligators, and a curious monkey named George. Lions, witches, and wardrobes, dragon stew, and kids named Maniac Magee and Jake T. have entertained middle graders and the Junior Academy.
Students are also busy learning about alphabetical order, guide words, multiple meanings and other dictionary skills. We are fortunate to have 3 new sets of dictionaries to accommodate grades K-2, 3-5, and 6-8, which allows children to learn these skills with grade level material. The Junior Academy is working on encyclopedia skills and citing sources for research papers.
We are very excited all of our new books and materials and would like you to stop by the library to see all them.
We will be finishing up our Book Fair on Friday December 14th hope to be adding additional items to the library with moneys generated by the sales from the fair.
