SPREAD THE WORD

From crafting divas to the glue gun impaired, one of the most important things you can do to help is to tell everyone you know about the event! Any or all of the following would be a huge help: talking about us on Facebook, putting up posters in your neighborhood, emailing your friends about the event, posting event listings online & blogging, or getting your friends with blogs to blog about us.  If you’d like to write about us, please visit our press page for press releases, downloadable photos, videos & more!

LEAD A DIY WORKSHOP OR CRAFT STATION

If you have a crafty skill and the patience to teach it to others, please consider leading a DIY workshop or running a craft station!  Past workshops have included a wide range of topics such as frogging, sewing machine repair, & fabric art.  Popular craft stations have included jewelry making, silkscreening, knitting, and embroidery. 

DESIGN A SILKSCREEN

We need silkscreeners to share their design talent and craftsmanship.  If you know how to make silkscreens, please consider creating one for use at Swap-O-Rama-Rama.  We’ll also need lots of help at our silkscreen station.  It’s always very popular and silkscreening is such a great way to bring old clothes back to life! 

MAN AN ASSISTED SEWING STATION

We’ll have a few dozen sewing machines at the swap (thank you Singer!).  About half will be open for anyone to use, but we are looking for volunteers to assist attendees who do not know how to sew. If you are comfortable running a sewing machine, please consider volunteering to take a shift at one of our assisted sewing stations.

SHOW OFF IN A FASHION SHOW

Calling all clothing designers, eco-crafters and second-hand fashionistas!  Recruit some friends and show off your reuse and second-hand fashion during one of our fashion shows!  These are always a huge hit!  Get the attention your designs deserve!

All volunteers get free admittance!
