Mullen Family of Philadelphia
From the 13 surviving siblings, there are 41 grandchildren, 28 great-grand children and still counting. Of the 41 grandchildren there are several CPA’s, MBA’s, Teachers, a Priest, a budding Rock Star, Engineers, Nurses, 1 College Basketball Referee, and a Partridge in a Pear Tree!
Our father, Vincent D. Mullen, Sr. passed away in 1971 at age 53 of Congestive Heart Failure. A Pilot in WWII, he received two commendations for “Acts of Valor” for delivering supplies, troops and bringing wounded soldiers out of France under hazardous conditions.

LtoR: Our grandmother, Sarah Markey Mullen, proudly watching while the youngest of her three sons receives his “wings” from our mother. Also present, our father’s older brother Phil Mullen. Our grandfather, John Mullen, died from the Influenza epidemic of 1918.

Our mother passed away July 2001 and our sister Donna passed away July 2002. Our brother Sean passed away in 1968 at the age of eight. Two younger brothers, Larry and Stephen died several days after birth. Our mother had 16 single births.
