Okay. The race I’ve been thinking about, training for, obsessing over for a year now is over. What the heck am I supposed to do with myself? This week has been hard since I am really not supposed to do much of anything workout wise. Being home and being with E is great. We missed her so much. I am aching to get back into some sort of routine though. Not a peak 16 hour IM routine, but a nice 8 or 10 hour a week routine would be nice. Just have to be patient and let myself heal, I guess. Not my strong suit.
Not as sore as I thought I would be....guess WALKING parts of the marathon will ease your muscle pain. :) Had a tough time sleeping though...can’t fall asleep at night. And everything tastes/smells like chicken broth. Totally NOT normal...and gross, too. Asked Kindzia about that, he said could be a sinus infection. Your immune system is pretty weak after an IM, apparently.
Planning on training for Tugaloo in September, but want to find a few other races beforehand to do as well. Actually, excited for my bike to get back from CDA.
Will keep updating this thing when I’ve got something to say....I really enjoyed it and like to look back on it and read what I wrote, like the dork that I am. :)
