Two Million Homeless
Thursday, January 21, 2010
According to government and U.N. estimates, the earthquake left two million Haitians homeless. Even those whose homes are merely damaged are afraid to stay in them. The result is scenes like this. In many parks, soccer fields, and open spaces, people are living outside. Some have tents. Some do not.

Radio programming is all still being done under a tent. It still is not safe even to take those operations inside. A recording of Former President Clinton’s interview was aired while he was visiting. It gives some measure of hope to know the US and other countries are really concerned and are trying hard to help.
