Karmen MacKendrick is Joseph C. Georg Professor in the philosophy department at Le Moyne College, where she teaches college core courses, courses in the history of philosophy, and interdisciplinary courses for programs in Honors and in Gender and Women’s Studies.
Her multidisciplinary research interests center on questions of language, corporeality, and temporality, primarily in relation to theology and religious studies. They also touch upon the arts (particularly dance), cultural studies (particularly the arts of the body), and literature.
Her fourth book, on the interconnections of memory and fragmentation, is newly out from Fordham University Press. Seducing Augustine, co-authored with Virginia Burrus and Mark Jordan, has just been accepted for publication at Fordham as well. She is now at work on several articles and a book on seductive theology.
