Karine Mauffrey : Stuntwoman ...   

On the heels of a 17 year gymnastics career in her native France,

Karine flies to Montreal to join the world famous troupe Cirque du

Soleil in creating a new show, La Nouba, that will be showing in Orlando, Florida.  She joins the Power track / trampoline team, the

grand-finale act of the show.  A full 1,500 shows and four-years

later, she decides to change career tracks and flies to Hollywood to

become a stunt-woman.

There she quickly gains work on the biggest pictures (including with

directors Robert Zemeckis, Steven Spielberg, M. Night Shyamalan, and

others).  Two years after landing, she is invited to join the renowned

and exclusive stuntwomen’s group: The United Stuntwomen’s Association.

Six years later Karine and her husband Jade Kindar-Martin, world-class

high wire walker, buy an ancient provincial stone house in the South

of France, naming it the Mas Pinet.  There they are working hard at

turning the Mas and the surrounding terraced river valley into an

artist retreat and a place to raise their two children while juggling

work demands that regularly take both of them around the world.
