My name is Karen Sauer (pronounced “sour”).  I have been teaching for the past 5 years in the field of special education with San Jose Unified School District. Last school year I worked at the District Office as a Program Specialist. Prior to my teaching career,  I was an Instructional Associated for 15 years in San Jose Unified  in the Special Education Department.  I hold a clear credential in mild to moderate special education with a BA in Liberal Studies for Teachers and a MA in Special Education. I am NCLB compliant and I am also CLAD certified. I enjoy teaching as much as I enjoy learning about new teaching methods and I strive to give my students the best education possible.
