I grew up knowing I wanted to draw, long before I knew careers as artists or designers existed.  I love drawing and whilst studying for a diploma I developed the skill to draw freehand on my trusty singer sewing machine.  In 1999 I earned a bachelor’s degree in printed textile and surface pattern design.  Since then I have dabbled at freelance design work whilst working full time.  I’m inspired by nature and just love using collage and ephemera to produce my illustrations and designs.

This year I have decided to finally follow my dreams of becoming a successful surface pattern designer.  I decided to start REN PAPERIE, initially to produce hand-finished wedding invitations but I also aim to design a mountain of beautiful card & gift-wrap designs.  Watch this space ! !
