I studied art song and opera for years. I still think of myself as a singer, although singing has taken a back seat to visual arts now. I believe that music and song often play important roles in my art, since I frequently use lyrics and musical terms within my art or to name my art. I believe that all the arts are our way of giving back to God in an attempt to repay the beauty he has given us in this world and in our lives.
