The Articulation Toolkit provides an integrated framework for an intuitive use of large sample libraries within Logic. It allows to access, while playing and using assignable physical controllers, all different sampled articulations and variations available to reproduce the versatile sound character of an acoustic instrument, then record the midi data on a single track for direct scoring and convenient post-production. At the same time, it allows to blend and fade the inherently restricted number of sampled versions in order to recapture the continuous sound changes acoustic instruments are capable to produce. Due to its scalable, modular design in terms of individual Logic environment macros, the Articulation Toolkit provides a fully open framework that adapts perfectly to your system and takes advantage of all available resources, like sample libraries, virtual instruments, hardware controllers and computers.
Finally easy control of all your sounds ...
Articulation access:
  1. access of 16 articulations from a single track simply via the midi channel of the notes ... and if required several 16-element banks
  2. realtime articulation switching via freely configurable hardware elements like keys, buttons ...
  3. programmable alternation function   for pre-recording and subsequent automatic articulation switching
Realtime control:
  1. continuous automatic and manual dynamics control by fading through the different dynamic layers - from adjusting the attack and release time to full-fledged (de)crescendos
  2. blend and/or layer up to 3 individual articulations or whole sets of articulations in real-time via continuous controllers
  3. e.g. alter the size of the instrument section, enhance the attack, introduce vibrato, modulation, ...
Open framework:
  1. sounds from basically any source (EXS, other samplers, virtual instruments, additional computers, external hardware devices, ...) can be combined on a single midi track
  2. flexible set of Logic environment macros that allow to realize basically any possible control setup
Plug & play:
  1. for the Vienna Symphonic Library Pro edition, Opus 1 & 2, Chamber strings, Solo strings and Woodwind ensembles libraries everything is already fully set up and documented
  2. this template can easily be adapted to use other sound sources
