Yesterday was Gladys/’Nan’’s funeral. It was a very moving service for a special and delightful lady of 95. I had wondered whether a song by Rolf might seem a bit strange but it was a brilliant service and one of the very best eulogies I have ever heard. Today I went to see Terry who has just celebrated her 90th and is having to downsize to a small home after 44 years in the same house. Elsie her sister (93) is hospital and has broken a bone in her neck after an horrendous fall. Please pray for them both. I came to Newport to start a youth church but am so glad for the friendships I have with some older people - they give me inspiration as I reflect upon their faithfulness, determination and positivity. Nan had these qualities in abundance.
