I have been having problems using Skype with Leopard.  Firstly let me say that I did check that I was running the most up to date version prior to installing Leopard.   I have looked on the internet for a fix but have not been successful in finding one.   I guess we will have to wait until Skype issues an update for the bug.   However I have found a workaround which may help those out there who are experiencing similar difficulties.

1. 1.  Uninstall Skype from your system.
   

2. 2.  Download the disk image from Skype.com
   

3. 3.  Mount the disk image but DO NOT ADD TO APPLICATIONS FOLDER
   

4. 4.  Run Skype from the mounted disk image.
   

5. 5.  I have tried this numerous times and it is working for me this way.
   

Ok so it is not exactly the way we want our applications to run but it is a way of getting it to work until the bug is fixed.

I hope this helps those out there who are having difficulty getting Skype to run under Leopard.
