The links below point to "chapters" of my complete application to the 2005 Golden Swan competition to be held in the Shire of Appledore in October of 2005. I hope eventually to add the timeline I followed during the months leading up to the tournament. For now let me encourage anyone considering entry in subsequent years to do so, for this was one of the most personally rewarding experiences I have enjoyed in some time.

For those who are curious about the tournament, here is a schedule for the weekend's activities with components of the Swan tournament highlighted. I have also highlighted the times when we were expected to be in personal: essentially, from opening court Saturday morning until the judges took us out of our misery (somewhere between 1 and 1:30) Sunday.
