MISSION
To support and promote an understanding and appreciation of the fiber arts
in the Arrowhead Region of Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin
and also to support the development of individual creative potential.

In 1973 a few interested fiber artists in the Duluth area formed the Duluth Fiber Handcrafters' Guild.  Since then the membership has grown to about 100 members. The guild provides opportunities for learning and fellowship through monthly meetings, newsletters, study groups, classes, workshops, demonstrations and retreats for weaving, spinning, dyeing, knitting, basketry, felting, beading and other allied crafts.

The DFHG is part of the Duluth Art Institute
and has a Fiber Studio and a Guild Library in The Depot.
