At Gallery 10 for December             

                    

         

 

   Throughout the month of December Gallery 10 in Sutter Creek invites you to experience the paintings and drawings by Steve Holler.  Steve brings a fresh vision to the artistic community of the California Gold Country.  Resulting from a long and successful career as a San Francisco Bay Area designer and creative director Steve knows how to communicate with his viewers using bold, compelling color, sensitive form and descriptive light.  His paintings and drawings are representational with subject matter focusing on the western landscape and iconic natural forms.  His award winning acrylic paintings have been described as bold and fresh, with clear color and strong interpretative lighting.  Steve’s sensitivity in line, form and tone can be appreciated through viewing his original graphite drawings.

This unique artist invites the viewer to experience the simplicity of the environment and objects around them from a fresh and contemporary point-of-view and a new understanding of Vision, Color and Light.

Steve Holler holds a BFA degree from the Kansas City Art Institute and a MFA from the California College of The Arts with graduate studies at the Yale University, School of Art.  Steve Holler is currently on the full-time faculty of The Art Institute of California – Sacramento.

        Susan’s Place will be catering an opening reception for the artist at Gallery 10, 15 Eureka Street, Sutter Creek on Saturday, December 5, 2009, between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.  To commemorate the event complementary signed posters will be available to guests.
