Dr. Michael Fishbane, Nathan Cummings Professor of Jewish Studies at the University of Chicago, and Professor Arnold M. Eisen, chancellor of The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS), discuss "Attuning to the Divine: A Conversation on Renewing Theology for Modern Jews" at the JTS Jack and Lewis Rudin Lecture.

Dr. Fishbane's recently published Sacred Attunement has been hailed by Chancellor Eisen, among others, as one of the most important works of Jewish theology in decades. The conversation between Michael Fishbane and Arnold Eisen focuses on the major themes of Dr. Fishbane's book: the tasks of theology today, why it should proceed via a careful reading of texts and attention to practice, and how one attunes oneself to God and the sacred.
