Conservative – A more passive card playing style linked mainly with premium hands. Conservative poker players only continue in the hand with a made hand or great draws.

Tight Aggressive – A tight aggressive poker player still is very selective with their starting hands but get max value out of each play by betting hard into the pot.

Loose Aggressive – If you’re part of the ATC, better known as the Any Two Card club, you fall into this category. There’s a high percentage of pre-flop raising from out of position and hard post flop play, in fact this style is closely linked with two of my favorite professional poker players Daniel Negreanu and Gus Hansen.http://www.pokerpages.com/players/profiles/15251/daniel-negreanu.htmhttp://www.gushansenpoker.com/shapeimage_6_link_0shapeimage_6_link_1
To each his own… those who want the satisfaction of seeing their opponents go on tilt as you steal their money enjoy live play.

However, the luxury of sitting at your computer and playing tournaments or cash games 24/7 is so much easier. There is the conspiracy of cheating on the internet but, doing a bit of research will provide you the knowledge to pick a reputable site such as www.Fulltiltpoker.net, and www.pokerstars.net.

Online players tend to push the action heavily pre-flop due to small starting chip stacks vs. the masses of people registered in the tournaments.

Picking up Bluffs online is a skill acquired by recognizing betting patterns because you can’t see the persons nervous ticks.
