What We Do
What we do as writers is not explainable. Nor should it be. Who can say what gives us the urge, the necessity, to put words and sentences together because we can, and not because someone asks us to? My advice? Unless someone is a writer, just tell them that you do it because you’re sick. UTWD. Urge To Write Disorder. Then they will become sympathetic and give you money or food.
 
Truly, we do need help.
