David Howard, former Intervarsity Urbana Director, brings a rich experience in mission and a depth of understanding of personal sacrifice. He was a close friend of Jim Elliot who was one of the five missionaries killed in Ecuador 50 years ago whose story was made popular again by the recent film, “End of the Spear.” David will give two major addresses at St. Paul’s Catholic University Center. He will give an overview of the Biblical Basis of Missions from Genesis to Revelations on Wednesday, Sept. 27th. And he will speak on the History of Student Involvement in World Mission on Thursday, Sept. 28th. This clip on the Haystack Prayer Meeting comes from a similar address given at Gordon College.
