"I am writing to express regards and admiration for Jeff Resnick as a great musical artist and showman. I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff for the first time in the spring of 2002. I had been told that we were getting a new performer to play once a week on Saturdays or Sundays, and immediately after meeting him for the first time, I knew he was a great guy and a fantastic musician. His unique presentation with the EWI MIDI instrument and laptop computer left me awestruck at how he could take great classic songs, convert them into complete digital compositions and perform them so beautifully. This was definitely not what I had expected to hear coming from a computer and MIDI instrument! The rich sound fills and warms our auditorium every show, and you can tell in the faces of the audience that they are as surprised to hear this beautiful music as I was the first time. I have witnessed the most steely faced people enter before Jeff's show, and exit after the show with only smiles and laughter. Since last spring, we have added Jeff to our regular program performing as many as three shows-a-week for the many out of town and local guests at Colonial Williamsburg. He has developed a great fan base that returns again and again to witness his magic on stage. Jeff's stage presence and humor make him accessible to everyone young and old. At the end of his shows, he eagerly greets his audience who approach the stage with questions and requests of all kinds. I hope that everyone who works with Jeff has as much fun as I have listening to him perform.
