Understanding the sometimes complex symptom pictures of all the wonderful homeopathic remedies can be a daunting task, and on this site you will find my contributions towards this understanding and appreciation.
Designed for practicing homeopaths and students of homeopathy alike, the site has, hopefully, an educative essence - we never stop learning.
As from June, 2010 I am offering student classes through online and skype communications - these classes are determined by the student, whether it be supervision of cases; studying the organon; getting to grips with Materia Medica; learning to use Repertories as well as possible or just overall supervision of their own study work, whatever the student requires on an individual basis they can custom build their own study requirements. About... this and that is just that - about me, my practice and a choice of links that I hope are useful to you.
On the Materia Medica pages you will find numerous writings about remedies, some with cases attached to them. Material is added to this page on a regular basis.
For the Remedy of the Month I select a remedy and try to bring a bit of ‘va va voom’ to our understanding of the remedy. A new remedy is added each month.
Much the same is done with Curious Rubrics, i.e. I try to give an insight into the ‘reasoning’ behind the rubric and how this pertains to some of the remedies that are found in the rubric. This is also updated on a regular basis.
On the Prove It! page you will find the collated data of a number of remedies - these are provings that form part of a proving project that I started in 2006 that sets out to prove a number of remedies that already appear in our materia medicas but have had no (or only scant) proving. If we are to use all our remedies efficiently then all our remedies need to be thoroughly proved. This project is just a small step towards that goal and is an ongoing project.
Taking the Case provides notes and encouragement towards taking a good case which in turn will make for a good choice of remedy - keep it simple and good!
On the Remedies from the Periodic Table, you will find occasional writings about the remedies from within the elemental range.
Many of the writings are pdf’s to be downloaded - just click on whichever you wish to read - you should have Adobe Reader installed to do so.
On the Book page you will be able to download my book (as a pdf) entitled “Rubrics of the Mind for the 21st Century”. The book is divided in 5 chapters - DAMAGE, ENDURANCE, TERROR, WASTE and WILDERNESS and incorporates a selection of rubrics that I think pertain to the broader heading of each chapter and I have written about some of the remedies that appear in each rubric. The book is free but a donation would always be welcomed.
Finally, on the podcast page you will encounter, guess what! Podcasts on various remedies - these will be added to as frequently as possible. I hope I don’t put you to sleep with them :-)
