After working in a variety of fields throughout college I began to substitute teach for the local school districts in my area and realized that I had found my niche.  I finished my degree in English and set off for Colorado with my wife. 

    While in Colorado I worked with our local school district in a mentor capacity until we decided to move to Alaska where I was able to enter a Master’s program through the University of Alaska Southeast.  I watched as my wife loved every minute of teaching to the children in our small Yup’ik village and decided it was time to officially enter the classroom.  Since starting my teaching career I have enjoyed every minute of it.
