Friezebox 2007

During 2 weeks in July 2007 and as part of Brighton Hip Hop Festival, Friezebox inhabited Jubillee Square in Brighton daily. 16 artists of various disciplines took part creating 13 pieces all based on the concept of ‘freedom’. Bringing the work of these artist into a very public arena it served to promote some of the visual art forms born out of hip hop culture and encourage those people who don’t habitually visit galleries to engage in the art world.

Many of the hundreds of passers by showed an encouraging interest in the project.
We hope to do more events lie this in the near future.
