ART 230:  Introduction to Intaglio:
Offered in the spring semester of every school year.  Intro to Intaglio focuses on basic Intaglio printmaking processes like Drypoint, Etching, Aquatint, Softground, Cine Colle, and A la Poupee.  Students are also challenged to consider overall design and aesthetics of their imagery, and personal expression of subject matter.
ART 231:  Introduction to Lithography:
Offered in the fall semester of every school year.  Intro to Intaglio focuses on basic Lithographic printmaking processes like basic printing and etching, tusche washes, color printing, and xerox transfers.  Students are also challenged to consider overall design and aesthetics of their imagery, and personal expression of subject matter.
ART 330:  Advanced Printmaking:
ART 331:  Advanced Printmaking:
Offered in the fall semester of every school year.  Advanced Printmaking 331 focuses on advanced Intaglio and Relief printmaking techniques.  This includes multi-plate, multi-color printmaking, combining techniques, and combining other artistic techniques.  While aesthetics and design are always a consideration, the mature development of subject matter is also talked about.  Class time is also used for discussions of professional practices, studio habits, and contemporary printmaking/art trends.  There are also discussions about slide and digital slide taking, artist statement development, portfolio development, applying for graduate school, applying for juried shows, contacting galleries, and professional printmaking opportunities.
Offered in the spring semester of every school year.  Advanced Printmaking 330 focuses on advanced Lithographic and Silkscreen printmaking techniques.  This includes multi-color printmaking, transfer and photographic prints, vinyl plate lithographic printmaking, combining techniques, and combining other artistic techniques.  While aesthetics and design are always a consideration, the mature development of subject matter is also talked about.  Class time is also used for discussions of professional practices and studio habits and contemporary printmaking/art trends.  There are also discussions about slide and digital slide taking, artist statement development, portfolio development, applying for graduate school, applying for juried shows, contacting galleries, and professional printmaking opportunities.

Offered in the summer of every school year.  Intro to Silkscreen focuses on basic Intaglio printmaking processes like Drypoint, Etching, Aquatint, Softground, Cine Colle, and A la Poupee.  Students are also challenged to consider overall design and aesthetics of their imagery, and personal expression of subject matter.
Offered in the fall semester of every school year.  Senior Projects in Printmaking focuses on the creation of a professional exit portfolio consisting of a focused body of work, documentation of the work, and a professional artist statement.  Students should be ready for post-graduate opportunities at commercial galleries, fine-art printmaking workshops, graduate school, or any other number of fine arts based opportunity.
