hi Bio I was born and raised in small town, southern Ohio. Most of my high school career was geared towards the Arts, even within a country school that focused on agriculture and sports. My high school Art teachers are why I am an artist today; I credit them completely, as well as my father for his INFINITE support and encouragement.

After graduation, I attended the Rhode Island School of Design and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2003.

While at RISD, I took several Liberal Arts courses at Brown University and various Studio Arts courses abroad at SACI in Florence, Italy. I had two phenomenal internships in the “Big Apple”; and also became involved with a community-teaching program with at-risk youth in Cranston, Rhode Island.

In the fall of 2003, after graduating RISD, I became the substitute for the Arts department in my local secondary school district for the remainder of that year, after which I moved to Italy.
Until the summer of 2005, I had been teaching/assisting in photography and multi-media at the Studio Arts Center International in Florence, Italy.

Italy was the first place that I showed my work in galleries outside college life. After returning to the U S of A, I continue to show my work in galleries across the country and participate in festivals/lectures.

I am inspired by new places and the ability to capture moments in time in these often dreamlike places. I live for those moments of exploring places, cultures and the things that both Mother Nature and Man create. I am particularly intrigued about this unison over in Europe and how fluid and natural the two elements co-exist.
