Day 1 - 4X

Dan Atherton keen to repeat his performance at Andorra the previous week was on top form as he wowed the crowds with a confident display of bikemanship as he cruised to the finals. Scott Beaumont, will Longden and Lewis Lacey made it to the quarter finals but no further, finally ending up in the top 20.

Dan Atherton

"I'm totally stoked with third position - all I wanted was to get to the final. It was a really tough final and I knew the other guys' game was good, but the fans have done an amazing job and I'm really happy with third."

Day 2 - XC

As per usual the start was frantic as the leaders did their utmost to get into position on the first steep section, leaving those behind choking on their dust. The second half of the field was reduced to walking pace as the riders struggled en-mass up the first short sharp incline, the hustle and bustle making hard to see what exactly was going on.

Liam Killeen
I felt pretty comfortable out there today; I didn't make as many places as I hoped on the first lap. The first two laps are where the splits are decided in this type of race. But I made the most of my start position I was in the 80's on the first climb, so yeah I feel like I'm getting there. I enjoy this course and the weather made it nice and the home support really gives you that little bit extra. I found that the climb was plenty long enough so cutting out the top switchback I think was a wise move. I would have liked them to have kept the natural section in that was a good part of the course, but yeah it was a good racing course as per usual. So a bit more training now, a bit of rest and yeah I'm feeling a lot more confident going into the Worlds.”

Day 3 - DH

What a fantastic day a brilliant way to celebrate the 100th World Cup DH race! The sun shone again for the 3rd day in a row, banishing the traditional gloomy DH Sunday that we always seem to get at the World Cup in Fort William. The dry conditions made the going even tougher as the track got rougher and rougher and lines learned by riders previously had to be relearned as they hurtled down looking for glory in front of the thousands of spectators raising the roof in the arena.

Tracy Moseley
I'm over the moon with that, I've not had the best start to the year and I knew I had to pull something out of the bag today and I knew this was as good a place as any to do it. To get the chance to win in front of the home crowd again is just amazing. Someone said yesterday do your ride from last year, you deserve it!. To be honest I hadn't really thought about it, until after it and I was "why couldn't this have been last September?" The conditions were incredibly dry and that made it even tougher, it certainly was a hard race. This track certainly seems to suit my riding style so we'll have to see what happens now at the World Champs, it's a different track and different country so we'll see. Hopefully that'll be good too.”
