The British Mountain Bike Series ( formally the xc NPS) is British Cycling’s official race series. This XC series is incredibly important in the UK Mtb calendar and is seconded only by the National Championships. Indeed, the winners of the series could even lay claim to being truly the best riders in the country, with the series requiring season long consistency and excellence through out the year, not just a one-of good performance. You don’t have to be of championship level to take part either. There are several categories contained within each race that caters for different age groups and abilities.
In 2009 Martyn Salt along with his hardworking team are once more back in the driving seat, taking the series forward and raising the bar once again to provide a consistent series that delivers the goods to provide the XC community an excellent and worthwhile series that pays homage to the dedication and commitment of riders from all over the UK.
I’m happy to be once more associated with the series and for the 5th year take on the title of official photographer. Check out the images and race reports from the whole series both here and at British Cycling and of course British XC.
